Diana will talk about how OLI creates validation plots for chemistries added to the OLI Database. She will focus on the potash system, the group of elements that are critical to Lithium extraction and purification. Diana will start with a brief introduction to the Potash system and the various solid phases that it covers. She will then provide a brief introduction to the Mixed Solvent Electrolyte (MSE) activity model and describe how this model was parameterized with experimental data to develop the data validation plots. She will present the various binary, ternary plots, and multicomponent phase diagrams. These plots are used to confirm OLI predictions when simulating lithium processes.
