As the demand for lithium continues to rise with its use in modern energy production and storage devices, lithium extraction and purification techniques have also grown more varied and complex. In this seminar, we look at lithium extraction from salars using evaporation, and how we use the flowsheet optimizer tool to improve process economics, maximizing sellable products like lithium and sodium chloride, while minimizing the use of chemicals and energy.
